Absolument Stupéfiant!!!

Even though our goals were shifted due to the weather this week.

We raised almost $1,000 to donate to the Red Cross for Relief in Haiti, just by selling cupcakes for $1 a piece!

We had such a good time and hope Temple enjoyed their sweets.

TEXT GIVE EAT: XIPWIRE teams with the Red Cross and the Buttercream Truck for Cupcakes for Haiti

Philadelphia, PA – February 4, 2010 – Cupcakes4Haiti is a Philadelphia based campaign that will hit college campuses across the city from February 8th to the 12th. During that week the Buttercream Truck will be giving away a cupcake for each donation made to the Red Cross. Donations can be made through XIPWIRE by texting “Cupcakes4Haiti” to 56624.

XIPWIRE is waiving all fees associated with the Cupcakes4Haiti campaign, allowing 100% of the donations to reach the Red Cross. Unlike other text pledging systems donations can made in any amount up to $500. Contributions made through XIPWIRE will reach the Red Cross in a matter of days instead of weeks or even months. In addition, XIPWIRE's secure platform has all the necessary safeguards to allow people to text their donations with confidence.

During that week, The Buttercream Cupcake Truck, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross, specifically for the relief effort in Haiti.

Cupcakes4Haiti is the brainchild of Temple University student, Seth Heirzenrater. Wanting to do something to help the victims of Haiti, Seth reached out to the Buttercream Truck and XIPWIRE to create the Cupcakes4Haiti campaign.
"I have always had a passion to serve. When I heard about the earthquake I like many other people began thinking about how I can help," says Seth Heirzenrater.

" I am so happy that Seth chose Buttercream for his idea, since I count on my student customers to keep me in touch with the pulse of our city. I approached XIPWIRE to partner with me to make it even easier for people to donate money and get cupcakes. I am thrilled to use my business to help others in whatever way I can," says Kate Carrara, The Buttercream Truck.

“XIPWIRE is proud to work with the Red Cross and the Buttercream Truck to support Seth in his valiant effort to help the people of Haiti,” says Sharif Alexandre, Founder, XIPWIRE.
